Event Name PSI 'Live In The Park'
Event Date : Fri 24 Jul 2009
Description :
Friday the 19th of June saw the biggest single outdoor event in Northern Ireland this year..

15,000 people flocked to Newcastle's Donard Park to attend a sell-out concert featuring acts including Deadmau5, The Japanese Pornstars, Hot Chip, Zane Lowe, Noize Control, and headliners, The Prodigy.

Production Services Ireland provided the lighting for the event.  PSI's Sean Pagel liaised with PLM Production Manager Dave Sinton, and The Prodigy LD, Andy Hurst, to put together a package that would meet the headliners' spec, while also providing a solid rig for all the other acts appearing on the day.

The result was a flown rig with four trusses with over 50 Robe 700E AT spot and wash fixtures, 36 Martin Atomic 3000 with scrollers, 18 2 and 4 cell molephays and a truss for a front wash of pars and profiles, all of which tied in with The Prodigy's toured floor system to give a huge, multilevel lighting show.

The Prodigy brought their own console, but for control for all the other acts an Avolites Diamond 4 Vision, one of PSI's stock desks, was used.

Production Services Ireland enjoy a great working relationship with Planet Love Music, having provided lighting for past events such as 'Planet Love' festivals, and 'QDance'.  PLM are Irelands premier promoters dance and electronic music, committed to providing top quality acts to audiences.  With a similar commitment to quality, PSI are a natural choice to deliver lighting for their events.
